NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. – Before getting back on campus for the 2018-19 seasons, Salem College Athletic Director Trish Hughes was part of Division III New Athletics Director Orientation hosted by the NCAA DIII governance staff.
While there Hughes learned this ins and outs of what it takes to succeed as a DIII athletics director. Speakers from across the country gathered to share insights and techniques that Hughes hopes she can bring to the Spirits for the coming scholastic year.
"It was great being able to connect with others in the industry as well as develop more knowledge across so many important issues within an athletics department," said Hughes. "I am excited to be able to bring this information back to campus and help lead the department in a good direction."
Hughes is entering her second year at the helm of the Salem College athletic department.
