Head Coach Scott Long has released the 2013 Salem College Softball Schedule The Spirits will battle Agnes Scott, Covenant, Huntingdon, Spelman, and Wesleyan for the Great South Athletic Conference Crown. Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team is set to host a fall tournament this Saturday the 20th. The Spirits will play Averett and the North Carolina State University Club Team.

The Salem College softball team split 2 Great South Tournament games today. The Spirits defeated Agnes Scott 6-5 in a back and forth game. They lost to Maryville 3-0 in an elimination game that ended Salem's season. The Scots went on to defeat Piedmont to head to the championship against Huntingdon tomorrow. Salem finishes their season with a 13-22 overall record.
The Salem College softball team split two games in their first ever Great South Athletic Conference Tournament today. The Spirits pulled off an upset in their first game, when they defeated Maryville 4-2. Salem dropped a 5-inning game to Piedmont, 10-1, in the second game. Their overall record is now 12-21 and they will take on Agnes Scott tomorrow in an elimination game at 11:00 am.
The Salem College softball team had 8 players earn end of the year honors by the Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC). The Spirits had 3 players earn GSAC All-Conference honors and 3 earn GSAC All-Freshmen honors, while 2 more earned all-academic honors. The Spirits are set to play in the conference tournament starting tomorrow at Maryville.
The Salem College softball team is set to play in their first ever Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC) Tournament this Friday at Maryville. Salem will play as the sixth seed against Maryville, who will be the third seed.
Abby Settles (Reidsville, NC) pitched a no-hitter in game 1 of a doubleheader against Great South foe Wesleyan College. Settles pitched in both 5 inning victories for Salem. In the first game the Spirits won 8-0, and they took the second game 11-2. Salem ends the regular season with an 11-20 record, while Wesleyan finishes with a 4-21 record.
The Salem College softball team dropped two games today to Piedmont College in Great South play. The Spirits kept it close through all 7 innings in a 3-0 loss in the first game. In the second game, the Lions broke it open early for a 13-1 victory. Salem falls to 4-8 in conference play and 8-19 overall.

The Salem College softball team heavily defeated Spelman College twice on Saturday, before dropping a doubleheader to Agnes Scott today in Great South action in Georgia. The Spirits set a single-game scoring record with a 23-0 victory against Spelman, and they also defeated the Jaguars 18-2. Salem dropped two games today to Agnes Scott 4-2 and 10-0. The Spirits overall record improves to 8-17 overall and they are now 4-6 in the Great South.
The Salem College softball team almost pulled off an upset against Methodist University tonight. The Spirits were up 5-0 in the sixth before Methodist scored 7 unanswered runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Spirits fall to 6-15 and Methodist improves to 19-6.

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team used another late rally to split their home series with Averett University today. After losing 17-1 in the first game, Salem rallied from a 7-1 deficit to defeat the Cougars (10-9) in the second game. The Spirits improve to 2-2, and Averett is now 1-3 for the season.
The Salem College softball team began their NCAA era with an exciting come from behind victory against William Peace University in the second game of the double-header. Salem College President Susan Pauly started off the day by throwing out the first pitch to Amber Bass (Clinton, NC). After losing the first game 2-0 to the Pacers, Salem used a 12 run inning to erase a 12 run deficit on route to winning the second game 19-18. Salem's record currently stands at 1-1, and Peace holds a 3-3 record.
Tomorrow's softball home double header against Averett University has been postponed until Tuesday, February 21st. The games will be played at 3:00 and 5:00 at Blixt Field.
