Softball drops two games on road at North Carolina Wesleyan

The Salem College softball team lost two non-conference road games today at North Carolina Wesleyan. The Spirits lost 8-0 in the first game, and dropped the second game 10-1. Salem falls to 3-9 overall on the season.

 

In the first game, Shelby Drummonds (Boone, NC), Amber Bass (Clinton, NC), and Kristi Morton (Trussville, AL) all had 1 hit for the Spirits. Abby Settles (Reidsville, NC) was the losing pitcher for

Salem and she gave up 10 hits.

 

In the second game of the doubleheader, Breanna Griffin (Millers Creek, NC) scored the Spirits lone run of the game. Drummonds, Settles, and Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) had the 3 hits for Salem. Settles was again the losing pitcher, and she gave up 9 hits in the game.

 

The Spirits return home for a doubleheader with Guilford on March 14th at 2:00 and 4:00.
