Decatur, GA-The Salem College softball team had 8 players earn end of the

year honors by the Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC). The Spirits had 3 players earn GSAC All-Conference honors and 3 earn GSAC All-Freshmen honors, while 2 more earned all-academic honors. The Spirits are set to play in the conference tournament starting tomorrow at Maryville.

Amber Bass (Clinton, NC) was the only player for the Spirits to earn both all-conference and all-freshman team honors as a utility player. Ellie Vizcaino (Wake Forest, NC) was selected to the all-conference as an outfielder and the all-academic team. Kristi Morton (Trussville, AL) rounded out the Spirits all-conference winners as an infielder.

Kayla Kennedy (Goldsboro, NC) and Abby Settles (Reidsville, NC) earned all-freshman honors. Emily Devane (Lillington, NC) rounded out the all-academic winners for having above a 3.25 cumulative grade point average. The Spirits also voted on Breanna Griffin (Millers Creek, NC) as being their individual sportsmanship winner.
