Softball win-streak snapped against Mars Hill

Welcome, NC-The Salem College softball team fell 3-0 to NCAA Division II opponent Mars Hill at North Davidson High School. Bre Crumley had another strong performance with 2 of Salem's 5 hits. The Spirits fall to 3-4-2, while Mars Hill improves to 2-7.

The game was a scoreless shutout through 3 and a half innings, before Mars Hill scored twice in the bottom of the fourth. They would add a run in the sixth inning. Salem had a 5-4 hit advantage. 

Brianna Morris allowed 4 hits and 2 runs in 3.2 innings. Lauryn Smith didn't allow a hit and gave up a run in 2.1 innings. Crumley was 2 for 3 in the game, including a double. Jennifer Vitarelli, Maggie Fritts, and Kayla Kennedy all had 1 hit.

The Spirits will head to Myrtle Beach this weekend for 4 games.
