West Henderson High's Morris commits to play softball at Salem

Mills River, NC-The Salem College softball team is excited to announce that Brianna Morris has committed to play softball at Salem next fall. Morris played softball for Coach Mike Matthews at West Henderson High School. 

Morris is a two year all-conference selection and three year all-area selection for the Falcons. She has been on the varsity team since her freshmen year. 

She helped the Falcons to a tie for the conference championship in 2011. Her club team also placed 9th at nationals in Texas in 2011. She currently plays for the Carolina Stars club team, and has also played for Carolina Elite and the Lady Blues.

Morris has excelled in the classroom and with extracurricular activities at West Henderson. She is a member of the National Honors Society. She has also been a member of FCCLA, Junior Civitan, Foreign Language Club, and Campus Life.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. The institution boasts a proud history of fostering independence for women.
