Softball crushes Mary Baldwin twice

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team are now on a six game win streak after crushing Mary Baldwin twice in a double-header. The Spirits won both games in five innings. They took the first game 11-2 and the second game 17-2. Maggie Fritts led the Spirits with 4 hits for the day. The Spirits are now 12-8 overall.

Hannah Nolan picked up the win on the mound in game 1. She allowed 6 hits and 1 earned run. Brianna Morris won the second game as she allowed 6 hits and 2 earned runs.

Fritts finished with 6 runs batted in, a home run, and 3 doubles. Jennifer Vitarelli also had 4 hits with 2 doubles. Logan Bowling blasted another home run in the second game. Briana Crumley, Katie Bilbrey, Britani Peterson, and Montana Lineberger also hit doubles.

Salem returns to the field on Sunday when they host New Palz St. at 4:00 and 6:00.
