Crumley wins GSAC Player of the Week

ATLANTA - The Great South Athletic Conference announced the spring sports Players of the Week for contests played March 28 – April 3 and, after voting by the league sports information directors, Salem's Briana Crumley claimed softball Player of the Week honors.

Sophomore Briana Crumley of Salem College had a stellar two game series of hitting, batting 1.000 in the second game of a double header. In 2 games she went 4-fo- 5 at the plate batting an incredible .800. Crumley had 5 at bats with 4 singles, one walk, scoring 1 run. Her on-base percentage was .833 and her slugging percentage was .800 for the weekend. 

The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
