Softball drops two at Emory & Henry

Emory, VA-The Salem College softball team lost two road games at Emory & Henry in non-conference action. The Wasps came back from a 7 run deficit in the bottom of the 6th to beat Salem 9-8 in game 1. They won 7-0 in the second game. Salem is now 10-9 overall this season.

Amanda Dacunto with 4 for 4 in the first games and Breanna Herman knocked in 3 runs for the Spirits. Herman and Briana Crumley each hit home runs. Lauryn Smith pitched most of the first game, but the loss was credited to Brianna Morris. Morris also pitched the second game.

Salem returns to USA South action today against Wesleyan at home.
