THE GAME
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Salem College came up short in a hard-fought doubleheader Tuesday afternoon that left the University of Lynchburg's softball team unbeaten.
"While today's scores were not in our favor at the end of both games, I have to say that overall I feel we battled well," Salem Head Softball Coach Kierston Garner said. "I think the biggest issue was we did not string together hits to produce runs. We played a solid defensive game and only allowed three runs to a very good-hitting team."
