GAME NOTES

  • In game one Salem's Miranda Baker, Amanda Dacunto, Brianne Coleman and Addison York each earned themselves and RBI
  • Sophomore, Addison York hit a home run in the bottom of the 6th to close out game one for Salem.
  • Sophomore pitcher, Miranda Barker dominated the circle only allowing 5 hits and recording 5 strikeouts.
  • Defensively in game two Salem account for three errors throughout the game allowing Greensboro to get on the board early.
  • First-year Brianne Coleman hit a homer to tie up the game in the bottom of the 4th inning.
  • Kayla Ogle dominated the circle in game two as well. Only allowing one hit and accounting for 6 strikeouts.

 


THE BASICS

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Salem College softball team picked up a pair of South Athletic Conference wins against Greensboro College Wednesday.

The Spirits (15-10) shut out the Pride (18-12) 4-0 in the opening and were victorious again in game two with a score of 2-1.

Much of the Spirits success was credited to sophomore pitcher Miranda Barker, who dominated the circle Wednesday only allowing five hits and recording five strikeouts.
