Greensboro, NC- Salem College played its first basketball game in 2008 Friday evening as they traveled thirty minutes east to Greensboro College. The Pride of Greensboro College exploded with a 33-7 run to finish the first half after Salem had tied the game at 12 at the 13:12 mark. Greensboro continued their scoring spree in the second half to easily beat Salem 92-38.

Salem College (3-9) was led by Casey Jones (So, Winston-Salem, NC) with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Shakila Springs (So, Winston-Salem, NC) played in her first game of the 2007-2008 season tonight, securing 14 rebounds and blocking 4 shots.

Greensboro College (3-4) was led by Danielle Duncan who scored 23 points in 22 minutes and secured 9 rebounds.

Salem College will travel to Rocky Mount, NC Sunday afternoon to play North Carolina Wesleyan College at 2 pm.
