Winston-Salem, NC- The Salem College basketball team hosted the Scotties of Agnes Scott College Friday evening. Nicole Mitchell of Agnes Scott controlled the boards all night with 17 rebounds and scored 24 points to lead the Scotties (2-2) to victory 52-35.

Salem College (1-5) led 4-2 after the first three minutes, but that was the last lead to be seen by the Spirits. The Scotties finished the first half with a 27-12 run and then cruised to the win during the second half thanks to Salem shooting only 16% for the game and being out rebounded 51-22.

Courtney Sauer (FY, Carthage, NC) led the Spirits in scoring with 10 points. Billie Harmon (Jr, Reidsville, NC) and Stephanie Wilson (So, Morganton, NC) grabbed four rebounds each.

Salem College will host Spelman College of Atlanta, GA Saturday evening at 6 pm.
