Raleigh, NC-The Salem College basketball team lost to William Peace on the road tonight in a physical game, 64-54. The Spirits were led by Jasmine Shabazz (Buffalo, NY), who had her 2nd straight double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Spirits fall to 8-6 overall, and Peace improves to 4-8.

The Spirits only lead of the game came at 7-5. Peace went into the break with a 27-22 edge. Salem would cut it to 2 with a minute remaining, before Peace hit 8 straight free-throws.

Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) had 14 points and 3 blocks in the game. Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) also had a double-double for Salem with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Salem returns home on Thursday, when they host Guilford in another non-conference game at 7:00.
