Winston-Salem, NC-This Saturday's home basketball game against Agnes Scott will be huge for 3 reasons. The Spirits are battling for playoff position with the Scotties, and this will be each team's final regular season game. The team will be celebrating 2 seniors, Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) and Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) during the game. The program will also be raising money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Going into today, Agnes Scott currently holds 1st place in the conference with 1 loss. Huntingdon is in 2nd with 2 losses, followed closely by the Spirits with 3 losses in Great South play. The conference tournament will be played at Huntingdon beginning on February 22nd.

eam sold pink t-shirts to fans to wear on Saturday, and the proceeds will go towards the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The foundation is dedicated for the education and research for the cure of breast cancer.

Denerson is a 3-year letter winner for the Spirits. She is a starting forward this season. Denerson is currently averaging 7.5 points and 6.6 rebounds so far this season. She is averaging 10.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists for her career. She is also a team captain this season.

Miller, who also runs cross country and plays softball, is a 4-year letter winner. She is a guard and she is currently averaging 1.7 points and 2.4 rebounds this season. Miller is averaging 5.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game for her career. She is double majoring in Sociology and Criminal Studies.
