Basketball creams Methodist on the road

Fayetteville, NC-The Salem College basketball team had no problems with Methodist University of the USA South on the road as they destroyed them by 24 points. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) had a huge game with 21 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 5 steals in the 81-57 win. Salem improves to 15-3 with their 15th straight win, while Methodist falls to 9-5. 

Methodist held a 20-19 advantage after the first 10 minutes of play, and then Salem went on an 8-0 run. The Spirits held a 35-31 lead at the break. The second half was all Salem though. Salem was up 41-35 with 16 minutes left, and then they went on a 25-9 run over the next nine minutes. Methodist was never able to get back within 20 points. 

Quntashea Lewis (Hartford, CT) had a key game inside with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jasmine Shabazz (Buffalo, NY) led the Spirits with 22 points. Zy Henderson (Inman, SC) led the team with 5 assists.

Salem is down to five remaining regular season games. They start off on the road on Thursday, when they head to Washington & Lee.
