Asheville, NC-The Salem College basketball team cruised to a 83-40 win at Warren Wilson College. The Spirits earned their 13th straight victory with the win. Jasmine Shabazz (Buffalo, NY) recorded a double-double with 15 points on 7 for 9 from the field, and 10 rebounds. Salem improves to 13-3 on the season.

The Spirits were hot from the field in the first half as they shot 45.7%, including 60% from behind the 3-point line. Salem held a 43-22 lead at the break. They outscored the Owls by 22 points in the second half on their way to the blowout. 

Tiffany Wildgoose (Nassau, Bahamas) had a strong night with 12 points. Bianca Ritchwood (Columbia, SC) led the team with 3 steals and 3 assists. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) led the Spirits with 17 points. 

Salem returns to GSAC action this Saturday when they host Wesleyan.
