Basketball eases to sweep of Agnes Scott

Decatur, GA-The Salem College basketball team had no issues completing a sweep of Agnes Scott today as they eased to an 85-45 win on the road. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) finished with a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Salem improves to 3-0 in the Great South and 18-4 overall, while Agnes Scott falls to 0-3 and 1-14. 

The Spirits jumped out to a 22-6 lead in the first 11 minutes, and cruised the rest of the way through the game. The Spirits held a 43-16 advantage at the half.

Salem shot 48% from the field to only 21% for Agnes Scott for the game. They held a 51-32 advantage on the boards, and the Spirits forced the Scotties to turn the ball over 22 times. 

Taylor also added 4 blocks. Denika Harden (Youngstown, OH) added 9 points for Salem. Harden also led the team with 5 assists and 4 steals.

Salem completes their regular season tomorrow at Wesleyan as they look to stay perfect in the Great South.
