Basketball scores 99 in rout of Barber-Scotia

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team cruised to a 99-60 victory over Barber-Scotia for their third straight win. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) scored 32 points, which puts her at 67 points for the last two games. Salem improves to 3-3 with the victory.

After holding a 40-28 advantage at the break, Salem broke the game wide open to start the second half. The Spirits held as big as a 40-point advantage.

Bria Patterson (Winterhaven, FL) scored 17 points and had 5 steals. Taylor also had 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Zy Henderson (Spartanburg, SC) finished with 14 points and 5 steals, and Jasmine Shabazz (Buffalo, NY) had 13 points and 8 rebounds. 

Salem dominated in the paint with a 42-16 advantage. They also forced 33 Barber-Scotia turnovers that led to 51 points.

The Spirits stay at home on Saturday when they host Johnson University at 2:00.
