Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) became the first basketball player and only second athlete at Salem College to ever earn NCAA DIII All-South Region Honors. The Great South Basketball Player of the Year was awarded to the D3Hoops.Com All-South Second Team for her play this season.
She led the Spirits to the Great South Regular Season and Tournament Titles, and to a berth in the NCAA DIII Basketball Tournament. Taylor, a senior, also became just the second player ever to score 1000 points at Salem.
