Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team dropped a home game to Piedmont College today. Despite a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds by Quantashea Lewis, the Spirits were not able to hang with the Lions. Salem drops to 1-3, while Piedmont improves to 5-0.

Zykeya Henderson added 14 points for Salem. Alexihonna Bush had 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Lewis led the team with 3 steals.

The two teams were close on rebounds with Piedmont having a 48-37 addvantage. Salem had 20 turnovers to Piedmont's 17. Piedmont held a 46-27 lead at the break.

Salem plays their last game before the holiday break this Tuesday at home against Emory & Henry at 7:30.
