Knoxville, TN-The Salem College basketball team traveled to Tennessee this past weekend and came home with a 55-47 victory over Johnson for a series sweep. Alexihonna Bush finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Spirits. Salem improves to 3-10 on the season.
The Spirits came out hot early and took a 25-17 lead into the break. They out-rebounded Johnson 42-37 for the game. They also forced Johnson to turn the ball over 22 times.
Quantashea Lewis had 16 points, while Zykeya Henderson added 10. Henderson led the Spirits with an impressive 7 steals. Kristal Lollis pulled down 6 rebounds.
Salem has a long break before they travel to Roanoke on January 29th.
