Smithfield-Selma High's Shepherd commits to play basketball at Salem

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team is excited to announce that Sabrina Shepherd has committed to play basketball at Salem next fall. Sheperd played basketball at Smithfield-Selma High School. She spent her freshmen year at Winston-Salem State University. Salem is coming off a 21-5 season where they swept the Great South Regular Season and Tournament titles.

Shepherd was a three-year participant and letter-winner for the Spartans. She was also selected to the all-conference team. She plans to major in psychology at Salem. Shepherd is the daughter of Darlene and Tim Shepherd.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. The institution boasts a proud history of fostering independence for women.
