Winston-Salem Prep's Robinson commits to play basketball at Salem

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team is pleased to announce that Barbara Robinson has committed to play basketball at Salem next fall. Robinson played basketball for Coach Eugene Love and Coach Jonathan Gainey at Winston-Salem Prep High School. Salem is coming off a 21-5 season where they swept the Great South Regular Season and Tournament titles.

Robinson is a four-year varsity letter winner for the Phoenix. She also played AAU basketball for the Winston-Salem Stealers from 2002-2013. 

She has been very active in extracurricular activities at Winston-Salem Prep. She is a member of the youth/college ministry and of the NAACP. She coaches an AAU team and is a basketball official. Robinson is the daughter of Gwendolyn and Alvin.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. The institution boasts a proud history of fostering independence for women.
