Raleigh, NC-The Salem College basketball team controlled the first three quarters of the game, but William Peace pulled away in the fourth quarter for the win. The Pacers won the first round game of the Jackie Ammons Tournament 63-59. Salem falls to 0-3, while Peace improves to 2-1.

Quntashea Lewis and Alexiahonna Bush each had double-doubles to lead the Spirits. Lewis finished with 13 points and 16 rebounds and Bush had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Salem held a 33-28 lead at half-time.

Salem plays Mid-Atlantic Christian tomorrow in the consolation game.
