Demorest, GA-The Salem College basketball team fell to Centre in the consolation game of the Piedmont College Cancer Awareness Tournament. Piedmont went on to win the championship over Hanover. Centre defeated the Spirits 78-41. Quntashea Lewis finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Salem falls to 2-9, while Centre improves to 2-9.

Salem came the game within reach in the first quarter as Centre held a 20-11 lead after one quarter. Centre extended that lead to 38-21 at the half. Mikayla Seivers finished with 9 points and 3 assists. Aaliyah Webb finished with 9 points.

Salem will return to the road to take on Averett on January 4th.
