Basketball set to play "Pink Game" in home finale

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team will play their final home game of the season tomorrow night. They will host Mary Baldwin College at 7:00. The Spirits enter the game at the top of the Great South with a 2-0 record.

The game is a pink out game, where all proceeds will go to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. This great organization was officially founded on December 3, 2007, from the vision of the organization's namesake Kay Yow, former North Carolina State University head women's basketball coach.

Through events, fundraising and partnerships, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund supports research, provides grants, and drives inspiration in the fight against women's cancers.

At half-time of the game, Salem will celebrate the National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Females athletes of all ages and abilities will be recognized during the break. Free t-shirts will be handed out to all participants, while they last.
