Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team were lower seeds than Pine Manor, but you could not tell by the game on the court. Salem took control in the first half and never looked back in a 100-77 victory. Mikayla Seivers played her best game ever at Salem and finished with a double-double of 28 points and 13 assists. Salem will play UC Santa Cruz tomorrow in the championship game at 1:00.

Sabrina Shepherd was hot in the first half, and helped Salem fight back from an early deficit to close the score to 27-26 after the first quarter. Salem used a strong second quarter to take a 12 point lead into the break. Pine Manor was never able to get closer in the second half.

Shepherd finished with 24 points. Quntashea Lewis finished with another double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds. Salem had two unsung heroes today. Tamara Blanton had an incredible game and finished with 13 points and a team-leading 2 steals. Aaliyah Webb also had her best game of the season as she had some key buckets and finished with 10 points.
