Comeback falls short as basketball drops game at William Peace

Raleigh, NC-The Salem College basketball team battled back from a 20 point deficit at William Peace, but fell just short at the end in a 69-63 loss. Mikayla Seivers led the Spirits with 22 points and 4 assists. Salem falls to 2-2, while the Pacers improve to 2-2. 

Peace jumped out to a 23-16 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 43-27 at the half. Salem cut the lead to 54-42 after 3 quarters. The cut the lead to three in the final minutes, before the Pacers were able to seal the deal with free-throws.

Dominique Nelson led the Spirits with 16 rebounds. Alexiahonna Bush had 12 points and 2 blocks, and Sabrina Shepherd added 11 points. 

Salem will play their first home game of the season next Wednesday, November 30th at 7:00 against Averett.
