Basketball crushes Pensacola Christian at home

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team was led by 28 points from Mikayla Seivers in a 69-47 home victory against Pensacola Christian. The Spirits used a strong second quarter to pull ahead and they never looked back. 

The game was tight in the first 10 minutes as Salem led 15-10. They unloaded in the second quarter and went into the break with a 36-17 advantage. Pensacola Christian was never able to get within 10 points in the second half. 

Seivers was an impressive 14 for 14 from the free-throw line to go with her 28 points. Aaliyah Webb added a huge spark in the 2nd quarter and finished with 16 points. Hannah McBride led the team with 11 rebounds, 4 steals, and 9 assists. Sabrina Shepherd added 15 points.

Salem returns to home action this weekend with two huge USA South games against rivals Agnes Scott and Wesleyan (GA).
