Seeding announced for USA South Basketball Tournament

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - After the completion of the regular season today, the seeding for the 2017 USA South Women's Basketball Tournament has been determined. The tournament consists of the top-six teams each division in the Conference and is scheduled to take place the weekend of February 17-19 with first round and quarterfinal contests hosted by the two-top divisional seeds.

The top-two divisional seeds receive first round byes and will host the winners of first round contests. The semifinal and championship games will be played at the site of the highest remaining divisional seed after quarterfinal round play on Friday and Saturday, February 24 and 25. If the highest-remaining divisional seeds are the same seed, the next tie-breaking criteria is regular season conference winning percentage. If there is still a tie, the tournament semifinals and final will head to the East due to a predetermined rotation.

At all venues and contests, tickets can be purchased at the event. Adult general admission is $8.00 while institutional faculty/staff/students along with senior citizens (65 years and older) and children are $3.00. Children under the age of six are free.
