Basketball Drops Away Game at Greensboro

Greensboro, NC-The Salem College basketball team dropped a USA South East Division game at Greensboro College tonight 76-45. Sabrina Shepherd led the team with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Salem falls to 9-14 overall and 7-8 in conference, while Greensboro improves to 17-6 and 12-2. 

The game was tight through the first period as the Pride led 18-14, before they widened the gap to 40-24 at the half. Greensboro extended their lead to 25 after three quarters. Salem played without two key contributors, Mikayla Seivers and Dominique Cross, who are out with injuries.

Tyler Davenport scored 9 points and Tarryn Johnson had 9 rebounds for the Spirits. Hannah McBride led the team with 3 steals.

The Spirits play their final regular season conference game on Saturday at Meredith.
