Winston Salem, NC- The Spirits hosted Bob Jones University last night in non-conference action, and fell on a final score of 67-86.  The home team put up a good fight for a majority of the contest, but were unable to overcome an offensive explosion by the Bruins in the 2nd Quarter being outscored 15-29.

Makalla Burnette, led all scorers with a game-high 29 points for the Spirits.  Tamara Blanton was the other Spirit player to knotch double figures with 14 points.

The Spirits look to bounce back Friday, November 30th, as they open up conference play against the Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels, who will come in with a record of 6-1.  Tip off is scheduled for 6:00pm
