Coach Mohney, "For the first time in our last couple of games we came out on a run and ready to play. We've continued to preach energy in the first. Averett came out ready to go after the half and hit some big shots for them to the lead.  In true Salem fashion, we stayed composed and fought to make it a game as we had it to 12 points with three minutes remaining. You have to admire the fight and determination that these student-athletes have in each game."

Salem is back in action on Saturday as they host Meredith College in their final home game of the season. Tip off is slated for 2:00pm.
