Salem Spirits Upended by Greensboro Pride 54-86

Greensboro, NC- Salem traveled to Greensboro to face conference foe Greensboro College Saturday afternoon.  The Spirits fell to the Pride in a final score of 54-86.

The Pride of Greensboro College had a balanced offensive attack as four players reached double figures in scoring.

Coach Mohney had this to say following the game,"We had a great back and forth battle within the first and third periods.  After the half we talked about limiting their offensive boards and controlling our turnovers.  Losing those possessions early on because of our lapses and Greensboro being able to capitalize on those opportunities was a huge factor in the outcome.  Getting back to shooting a higher percentage free throw game is our focus for our road game tomorrow at Mary Baldwin."

Salem has a quick turnarond, as they head to Staunton Virginia to take on the Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels Sunday afternoon. Tip off is slated for 2:00pm.
