GREENSBORO, N.C. — Three Guilford starters reached double figures, including Anna Giannopoulou, who tallied a game-high 19 points, as the Quakers picked up their eighth all-time win over the Spirits by an 89-58 margin when the two teams collided on Thursday afternoon at Ragan-Brown Field House.

Salem was led offensively by Dionne Sampson, who came through with 15 points, while teammates Savanah Atkins, Cree Bass and Minnie Griffin contributed nine points apiece. Sampson was 5-of-12 from the floor and 5-of-8 at the free throw line, topping the double-digit mark for the eighth time this season.

Atkins and Bass knocked down four field goals apiece for Salem, while Griffin was 3-of-8 from the field and was one of two Salem shooters with a 3-point field goal. Alize Munn hauled in game-high eight rebounds, including five on the defensive glass, while making two blocks.

FIRST QUARTER
Guilford streaked out to a 23-10 lead in the first half, hitting 10-of-19 (52.6%) from the floor in the process. Lindsay Gauldin poured in nine points for the Quakers, who opened the game on a 10-3 run, with the three points coming off a 3-pointer from Bass. Atkins knifed through the lane for a layup to put Salem into double figures, but Guilford scored the final six points of the frame to establish a 13-point advantage.

SECOND QUARTER
The Quakers had a 30-point outburst in the second quarter by virtue of an 11-for-20 (55%) shooting performance from the field and knocking down 8-of-9 (88.9%) at the charity stripe. Salem's offense was limited to 11 points over the course of the frame, hitting just four field goals in the process. Both Giannopoulou and Gauldin scored eight points each, hitting four field goals. The Quakers stretched their lead to 33-12 with a 10-2 run to open the quarter. Sampson scored the final bucket of the first half to make for a 53-21 contest at the intermission.

THIRD QUARTER
The best offensive quarter for the Spirits came in the third when Salem came through with 21 points. Sampson led the way with eight points, while Bass added four. Collectively, the Spirits came through with eight field goals while adding five free throws. Sampson and Munn came through with a series of layups to put Salem at 30 points on the game, making for a 64-30 contest. Sampson capped off the 21-point frame with a jumper to make for an 80-42 Guilford lead.

FOURTH QUARTER
Salem outscored Guilford 13-9 in the final quarter, hitting 6-of-17 from the floor, including a 3-pointer from Griffin. Griffin scored seven of the 13 points, converting 3-of-5 field goals in the process.
