BUENA VISTA, Va. — Emma Camden scored a game-high 18 points and was one of three Southern Virginia players to reach double figures as the Knights earned a 94-37 victory over Salem at the Knight Arena in Buena Vista, Va.

Salem's offense, which struggled throughout the course of the game, was led by Dionne Sampson. Sampson closed with 11 points, hitting four field goals and 3-of-5 at the charity stripe, ran her double-digit scoring streak to 13 straight games.

Teammate Nykerah Engle finished the game with seven points, knocking down 2-of-4 from the field, while Ti'Erra Lee emerged with five points and two rebounds. Aliyah Corpening came off the bench to contribute six points for the Spirits.

FIRST QUARTER
The Knights scored 11 of the first 12 points of the contest and didn't look back. Sampson came through with four straight points, slicing the deficit to six, but Southern Virginia responded with a 14-4 run to close out the first quarter.

SECOND QUARTER
Salem's best quarter of the half resulted in 12 points after a 5-of-16 (31.3%) shooting performance from the floor. The Spirits tallied six of the first nine points in the second, resulting in a 29-15 score, with Bass driving home the 15th-point of the evening. Engle scored four of the final six points of the frame, while Sampson drove home a shot of her own, giving Southern Virginia a 40-21 lead at the half.

THIRD QUARTER
The Knights managed to stretch their lead to 52-24 with a 12-3 run over the first 4:15 of the third, with Lee knocking down a 3-pointer to result in the Salem points. Sampson and Lily Gorum with two points each before Anayah Noell converted two free throws, resulting in a 62-30 lead. Corpening capped off the third with a pair of free throws for the Spirits, who trailed 64-34 heading into the final frame.

FOURTH QUARTER
Southern Virginia surrendered just three points over the fourth quarter, while hitting 10-of-18 (55.6%) from the field and 9-of-13 (69.2%) at the free throw line.
