Cho hires Jones and Donovan to lacrosse coaching staff

Winston-Salem, NC-Salem College Head Lacrosse Coach Merridith Cho has hired two assistant coaches to help lead the team into their first year of play in 2017-18. Cho has announced that Jessica-Claire Jones and Lauren Donovan will join her coaching staff immediately. 

Jones played at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1998-2002. She was a member of UNC's first Atlantic Coast Conference championship team in 2002. Jones has coaching experience at UNC and Academy Lacrosse Summer Camps. She was recently named Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at East Chapel Hill High School for the 2017 season.
Coach Cho said, "I'm thrilled to announce the addition of Jessica-Claire Jones to our staff. We've been serving together since being teammates at UNC. She's a great leader, coach, and mentor to young women and we are privileged to have her help build our new program."

Lauren Donovan was a NCAA Division II lacrosse and soccer player at Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, NC. She was the NCAA DII South-Atlantic Conference Player of the Year in 2015 and a NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee in 2015. She has experience coaching with the Southern Maryland Jets travel team and she was the head coach at Hickory High School in NC.
