Lacrosse Loses USA South Game At LaGrange

LaGrange, GA-The Salem College lacrosse team played their first ever road USA South conference game yesterday at LaGrange. The Spirits fell 24-1 as Collette Vladimery scored the Spirits lone goal. Salem is now 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the USA South, while LaGrange improves to 3-2 and 1-1. 

The Panthers jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first 9 minutes, before Vladimery scored 9:30 into the first half. LaGrange would hold a 15-1 lead at halftime. They would score 9 unanswered goals in the second half.

Madison McCarthy led the team with 3 shots, and Allix Kean and Logan Bowling each had 2 draw controls. Hannah Ostlund had 10 saves.

Salem was 6 for 11 on clears. The Panthers held a 19-5 ground ball advantage. The Spirits return to action today against Huntingdon in another USA South road match.
