Lacrosse Loses on the Road at Guilford

Greensboro, NC-The Salem College lacrosse team lost a non-conference match at Guilford 23-1. Madison McCarthy scored the lone goal of the match for Salem. The Spirits are now 1-10, while Guilford improves to 4-3. 

Guilford held a 16-0 lead at the half. They outscored Salem 7-1 in the second half. The Spirits were 3 for 17 on clearance attempts.

Hannah Ostlund finished with 6 saves for Salem and Samantha Fritts played in goal and had 0 saves. Jessica Ritter and Ostlund each had 2 groundballs and McCarthy led the team with 3 draw controls.

The Spirits will have a week and a half off before they get back to action against NC Wesleyan on the 28th.
