Emma Rose Named Interim Head Lacrosse Coach

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Athletic Director Trish Hughes has named Emma Rose as the Interim Head Lacrosse Coach for the Spirits.

"I am happy bringing Emma Rose on. She has shown great leadership ability and she worked well with the student-athletes last spring," said Hughes.

This will be the second year for Rose as part of the Salem lacrosse team as she was the assistant coach during their inaugural season last spring. It was during this time that the Spirits won a close contest to conference opponent NC Wesleyan, beating out the Battling Bishops 13-12.

In Rose's words, "I'd like to thank my AD Trish Hughes for giving me this opportunity, and look forward to growing as a coach and continuing to elevate the team here at Salem."

Prior to coming to Salem, Rose played at the DI level for Gardner-Webb University. As an attacker for the team, Rose scored a career-best 14 goals in her senior season.
