THE BASICS

WINSTON-SALEM, NC — The Salem Spirits Lacrosse team were overpowered 6-20 by conference foes NC Wesleyan.

Despite four goals from Salems Teja Horton, the Battling Bishops outshot Salem 40-16 and they outscored the Spirits 16-5 in the first half and 4-1 in the second.

On turnovers, the teams were pretty evenly matched, with Salem accounting for 29 turnovers and Wesleyan accounting for 25 throughout the game.
