LaGrange, GA-The Salem College soccer team defeated LaGrange 3-0 today on the road in a USA South match. Jordan Lanier had an assist and a goal to lead the Spirits. Salem improves to 13-1-1 overall, while LaGrange falls to 2-12-2.
Lanier scored in the 37th minute on an unassisted goal to give Salem the lead. Maddie Crumpton finished a Lanier assist in the 64th minute, and Katie Fretwell finished off the scoring in the 77th minute to give Salem the victory.
Salem out shot the Panthers 17-2, and they had a 7-1 corner kick advantage. Hannah Wagner earned the shutout in goal for Salem.
The Spirits return to USA South action tomorrow at Huntingdon.
