ATLANTA, Ga. – The Great South Athletic Conference announced the women's tennis Player of the Week for all matches played through February 15 and, following voting by the league sports information directors, Salem's DeAnna Wilkins won the second award of the spring season.

DeAnna Wilkins of Salem played her first ever college match and won in three sets. She defeated Lauren Riner of Emory & Henry College at #4 singles, 5-7, 6-2, 1-0(12). For her efforts she was selected GSAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
