Tennis falls to Chowan and Meredith

Raleigh, NC-The Salem College tennis team traveled to Virginia and Raleigh this weekend to play Chowan and Meredith. Chowan won 9-0 against Salem, and Meredith defeated the Spirits 8-1. Salem falls to 1-5 overall. 

In the Chowan match, Deanna Wilkins and Ayla Pruitt played the closest doubles match at #3 doubles. They dropped an 8-4 match to Straffai Cleveland and Natalia Andrade. Pruitt also played the closest singles match as she fell 8-3 at #6 singles. 

Kerri Morgan won the only match of the weekend for Salem. She defeated Mack Thompson of Meredith at #4 singles (6-3, 6-1). 

Salem returns to action on April 4th in their biggest match of the year as they host conference foe Agnes Scott at 2:00.
