Tennis wins big against William Peace

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College tennis team cruised to their second victory in a row with a 8-1 home win against William Peace. Andrea Akers won at both #1 singles and #1 doubles. The victory improves Salem to 4-6. 

"We played well today as a team," said Head Coach Kevin Fleck. "Our doubles teams are playing aggressive and with a lot of confidence."

Akers teamed with Kerri Morgan to win at #1 doubles. Morgan won at #3 singles easily. DeAnna Wilkins won both of her matches at #2 doubles with Ashley Koehler and at #4 singles. Sam Story won at #5 singles and Ayla Priutt won at #6. Allie Watkins and Leia Pruitt teamed up to win at #3 doubles.

Coach Fleck said, "Our singles is getting stronger and we are beginning to play up to our capabilities. We are excited to continue our momentum into conference matches this weekend!"
