Tennis crushes William Peace in first match
Raleigh, NC-The Salem College tennis team crushed William Peace in their first match of the year. The Spirits cruised to a 9-0 win against the Pacers. Andrea Akers won at both the number one singles and number one doubles positions. Salem is now 1-0 overall.
"I think our team played a very good match from start to finish," said Head Coach Kevin Fleck. "I was pleased with the improvements we made from last week and how we got off to a better start. We are excited to work on the new things we learned from this match and to play again on Wednesday."  
Salem not only won all 9 matches, but they cruised to victory in each match. All six players that played for the Spirits won two matches. The Spirits will play Meredith in their first home match on March 2nd at 4:00.
