Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College tennis team played short-handed and fell 9-0 to LaGrange in USA South West action at home. The Spirits played without their usual number one singles player, DeAnna Wilkins. The Spirits are now 5-7 overall and 0-3 in the USA South.

Makenna Mason stepped in to play number one singles and held her own before falling in two sets. Salem was forced to forfeit the number six singles and number three doubles.

The Spirits hit the road next weekend to take on Covenant and Maryville in more USA South action.
