The USA South Athletic Conference's women's tennis coaches have released their 2018 preseason polls. Each divisional preseason poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division-only. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.
Head Coach Ed Steele's tennis team is picked to finish in 6th in the USA South East Division. The top six teams will qualify for the USA South Tournament.
This season, the Conference welcomes new League members Berea College, Brevard College and Pfeiffer University. Brevard and Pfeiffer will not be included in the polls as they are each reclassifying from Division II and are not eligible for championship honors this season.
Salem will play their first match on February 16th at home against Guilford. Their first USA South East Division match is at Mary Baldwin on March 10th.
The 2018 USA South Women's Tennis Tournament will be played April 13-15 in LaGrange, Georgia as a part of the USA South Spring Sports Festival, hosted by the City of LaGrange and Troup County. The tournament will take place both at the McCluskey Tennis Center and the LaGrange College Varsity Courts. The top-four teams from each division will advance to the tournament.
