Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College tennis team picked up a win in their first match of the spring. The Spirits defeated Guilford 9-0 in non-conference action. Salem is now 1-0 for the spring season.

"We started out slow but rallied to a 9-0 win against a steady and patient opponent," said Coach Ed Steele. 

Makenna Mason won at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Makayla McLauren.  She teamed with Abigail Williams. Abby Williams won her singles playing the No. 2 spot 6-0, 6-0 over Brooklyn Hopkins.
